Butterfly Birthday

This was a fun one to work on! Running joke between Mom and Daughter because the Daughter would always buy Mom something with a butterfly for her Birthday every year - so for the Daughter's 30th, Mom turned the theme on her! :) Chocolate sheet cake with vanilla buttercream icing decorated to match napkins for the party. Butterfly wings were made using gelatin - another new process for me! Fun to do and very pleased with the look! Chocolate cupcakes with vanilla buttercream icing swirls topped with a gum paste/fondant butterfly and a sprinkle of white nonpareils - absolutely loved the look of the cupcakes! :)
