Pink & Black Polka Dots and Striped Birthday Cake

Lovely little cake for a special girl's 14th Birthday! Lemon pound cake with vanilla buttercream filling, covered in fondant with fondant and gum paste details :)

  1. I love this! It's so clean and simple. I have a question, can I cover a cake frosted with italian meringue buttercream in fondant?

    1. Thanks so much, Kal! You can most definitely cover cakes that have been frosted with either Italian meringue or Swiss meringue - fondant works very well with either of those as a base!
