Easter/Spring Basketweave Cake

This was a cake done for my Wilton class - a two-layer oval yellow cake topped with vanilla buttercream basketweave, edged with a rope pattern and topped with royal icing flowers.

Topper for Cupcake Tower at Wedding

This was the final version of the cake I did to top the cupcake tower at Saturday's wedding. The bride wanted black and silver dots since the cupcakes they had were topped with black and silver sprinkles and then I edged the bottom of the cake with a black satin ribbon. The cake itself was alternating layers of yellow and chocolate cake with vanilla buttercream in between each layer, then topped with white fondant and buttercream dots.
